With the launch of Scondido bathroom furniture, the collaboration
between Remy and Cosentino
is finally taking shape. ‘I wanted to design a piece of furniture that can stand in a room like a piece of art, yet has practical features’, explains Remy. ‘Scondido is a synonym for hidden. That's a nice contrast, as the design certainly stands out in the room, but has hidden extras.' With this he refers to the drawers in the sideboard in which bathroom utensils can be stored. The interior is made of American walnut, custom-made by Bom Interieurs. The exterior is by Dekton, one of the materials from the Cosentino collection. The furniture can be placed plug and play, in a bathroom or bedroom but also as a functional design object in a reception hall. Scondido has a prominent place in Cosentino City Amsterdam inspiration centre, which opened in the autumn of 2020.
